指数权重股也出现了其他大幅下跌,如Spark NZ(-1.8%)、Auckland Intl Airport(-1.5%)、Contact Energy(-1.6%)和Infratil(-1%)。
The S&P/NZX 50 index fell 1.18% to close at 11,805 on Friday, its worst session since October 20th, as caution prevailed ahead of US PCE price index report due later in the day. Investors also digested the latest US GDP data which grew at its slowest pace in nearly two years in the first quarter. However, an increase in inflation reignited speculation that the Federal Reserve might keep its restrictive stance for longer. On the economic data front, ANZ-Roy Morgan consumer confidence fell to 82.1 in April, with households appearing to be rattled by a weak Q4 GDP figure. Health technology stocks led the market down, namely Fisher & Paykel (-1.7%) and Ebos Group (-3.2%). Ebos Group dropped after the company's announcement of its new CFO, Alistair Gray. Other sharp losses were seen from index heavyweights such as Spark NZ (-1.8%), Auckland Intl Airport (-1.5%), Contact Energy (-1.6%), and Infratil (-1%). For the week, the benchmark index closed marginally higher at 0.08%.
