Household spending in Sweden rose 0.5% month-on-month in March 2024, rebounding from a downwardly revised 0.2% fall in the previous month. Spending rebounded for recreation & culture, goods & services (4.5% vs -2.4% in February), furnishings, household equipment & consumables (1% vs -1.8%), and clothing & footwear (1.8% vs -0.5%). On a yearly basis, household spending grew 1.2% in March, following a revised 0.2% gain in the prior month, driven by increased consumption for food and beverages (5.3%).
