The Hang Seng rose 95.76 points or 0.54% to end at 17,746.91 on Monday, advancing for the sixth session in a row and holding at its highest level in over five months amid strength largely from financials and property. Meanwhile, futures tied to US stocks were notably higher as traders anticipated more earnings updates, key labor data, and the outcome of the FOMC meeting this week. Investors also welcomed news that Elon Musk made an unannounced trip to China Sunday as he tried to introduce Tesla's driver-assistance system to the world’s biggest auto market. The index reduced its early gains, however, amid growing caution ahead of Chinese PMIs figures for April in the upcoming days. Major builder CIFI Holdings Co. jumped around 18% after solving its liquidity issues with bondholders. Other outperforming stocks under big-cap were KE Hlds. (7.4%), AIA Group (6.4%), China Overseas Land (4.0%), China Resources Land (2.9%), and Semiconductor Manufacturing (1.5%).
