指数权重股也出现了其他显著下跌,如Infratil(-1.7%)、Meridian(-0.8%)、Ebos Group(-1.4%)和Contact Energy(-1.6%)。
New Zealand's benchmark S&P/NZX 50 index fell 0.98% to close at 11,821 on Monday, weighed down by communication, non-energy minerals, consumer services, and consumer durable sectors. Last week, the Reserve Bank of New Zealand signaled its intention to delay any shift toward monetary easing until 2025, citing higher-than-expected inflation pressures in the first quarter, though markets are fully priced for a cut by October following recent weak employment data. Traders also seemed cautious ahead of Australian central bank's monetary policy decision on Tuesday. On the corporate front, Spark NZ dropped the most by 4.9% as it reduced its FY24 EBITDAI guidance. Also, Fletcher Building was down by 3.2%, after its target price was cut by 6.6% to NZ$3.23 per share by Macquarie. Other notable declines were seen from index heavyweights such as Infratil (-1.7%), Meridian (-0.8%), Ebos Group (-1.4%), and Contact Energy (-1.6%).
